How Many Calories In A Pint Of Beer?
So you are wondering how many calories are in a pint of beer, are you? Well, now, obviously that will depend much on the strength of the beer. That is because the number of calories it contains will differ. Some of the calories come from the alcohol and the sugar in it.
It also depends much on whether it is you are drinking halves or pints. As you know, most males prefer pints, while females tend to drink the halves. That too depends whether or not you are drinking draft beer or lager (which we sometimes refer to as beer)
How Many Calories In A Pint Of Beer
How many calories in a pint of beer? Well, a typical pint of beer (Bitter) contains between 180 – 190 calories.
Lager
Lager has more calories than its counterpart. It comes in at an average of 227 calories p/p
All alcohol is very high in the calorie issuing department, which is why all the diet plans available tell you to steer clear of it or at least drink very little of it.
If you do choose to keep on drinking it, then I would strongly advise that you take a drink only maybe for special occasions. It will do you no good for your diet whatsoever. You will never naturally lose weight if you do drink copious amounts of this liquid.
Alcohol Damages The Liver
Regardless of the damage, you will be doing to your liver (Although in moderation, there are no worries), you must be aware after reading the high amount of calories in beer/lager that it will take you straight over the RDA (recommended daily allowance).
That is for your calorie intake that day, and you will surely never lose weight the natural way, and, as we know, ladies rarely stop at one half, and men do not stop after 1 pint. BE WARNED.
Low-Calorie Beers
There are several lower calorie options available to us, but, as well as trying them myself, they do not taste like real beer/ale or lager, and speaking from personal experience, I would have to agree with them, it does not.
Having a top (a dash as it is called here in the UK) with them, you would think would reduce the number of calories you are ingesting. However, it does not as they are more often than not topped up with lemonade to give it a stronger than usual shandy taste.
But, the sugar in the lemonade makes the calorie count higher than it would have been if you had drunk a full pint/half in the first place.
Do I Need Alcohol?
My advice – leave it alone, you do not require any alcohol to have a good time anyway. You do not need to be aware of how many calories in a pint of beer if you don’t drink it.
Surely it is the company of the people that are with you? To consume copious amounts of this liquid will most definitely not be a part of the best diets to lose weight fast, no way!
Some Other
High-Calorie Alcoholic Drinks
A massive 222 calories per 100 ml serving. So If you think that less volume = fewer calories, you are very wrong indeed.
That is almost the same as the whiskey. Do not judge how fattening it is by the volume of the liquid, 222 calories. That is before you have even added your mixes in with it.
Sweet sherry is another bad one, giving you 136 calories p/100 ml
327 calories per 100 m/l
So, How Many Calories In A Pint Of Beer And More – Lots
It happens to be the worst of a lot of these alcoholic drinks providing 327 calories in only a 50 ml shot, incredible.
You see, once you have got your diet under control, all that you need to have is the other half. That way, you will win with your weight loss attempt. To what am I referring?
The exercise, of course.
