Now, this is something close to my heart. Exercise for the disabled is something that I have an interest in as I, myself, have a disability. I am a hemiplegic.
That means that I have paralysis down one side of my body. So this is right up my street so to speak. It is something that a lot of people know very little. And so I am writing this post to help all of you that have an interest in it.
These exercises that I am about to show you, they will help to strengthen your legs. But you will not lose any weight with them. As we have a disability, we have limits as to what exercises we can do. However to lose weight the diet is even more important to us than to a non-disabled person.
The Legs
When a person has any form of disability. Then, more often than not, it is because of something to do with the person’s legs. Thus, the disabled person has to use a wheelchair.
That will mean that they do not use their legs much, if at all. And because of this, I have a great video showing you an excellent exercise for the disabled. Well, three leg exercises as a matter of fact.
I know how difficult it can be to exercise for the disabled as one thing that you may find is that you think that there is no point to it. That is because it will only be a very mild form of exercise to perform.
However, in doing it myself, I now have the plusses of continuing to do it. It does help. And the ones in this video are great too. I use them myself.
Exercise For The Disabled
Following my short conclusion, there will be an excellent video for you to watch. Therefore, if you are a wheelchair user. Or you have difficulty in walking any distance, short or long.
Then you need to watch it and try out these exercises. One thing that I will say though is this. Do not expect the next day, to jump out of your wheelchair. And then start jogging around the block.
It does not work like that. You need to be doing them regularly for them to have any beneficial effect on you. And please, believe me, they will help.
